Traci L. Higginbotham

Traci Higginbotham was born in Centerville, Ohio in 1973 but moved to West Virginia where her family was from at the age of 10.  Growing up in the West Virginia mountains with the majestic sunsets has inspired her along the way.  Higginbotham's art talents were noticed at an early age.  After winning several youth art competitions her 4th grade teacher sent her to the Gifted Art Program in Putnam County Schools.  She spent the next 8 years learning under well known West Virginia Artist Caryl Toth.

After graduating from Winfield High School in 1991 her studies continued at the University of Charleston where she graduated with a degree in Interior Design and Arts Administration.  Higginbotham currently owns and operates the Art Emporium, a custom picture framing and art gallery in the heart of Downtown Charleston, WV.

Her artwork mostly consists of large colorful acrylic paintings on canvas, but most recently she has begun to work in alcohol inks and occasionally some collage.
